I have been in the travel industry for 25 years. Prior to that, I was a logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps for 13 years. Needless to say that travel and logistics has been my passion for my entire adult years. I have been blessed to have been able to travel extensively. I have been to every continent except for Antarctica and just give me some time on that one! I love to speak of my adventures and share my knowledge with those who are fulfilling their passion of traveling as well.
I have been involved with the planning and implementation of many Olympic Sporting Events both domestically and internationally. Currently, I am the Manager of Accommodations for the 2022 World Games to be held in Birmingham, Alabama July 7 - 17, 2022. I am responsible for housing and feeding over 5,000 athletes, coaches, and officials over the course of 10 days. Also, I am responsible for housing media, spectators, and other groups vital to the success of the World Games.
In addition to Olympic Sports, I have formulated many Collegiate Bowl groups to include charter aircraft as well as numerous student groups such as Sports athletes and student groups to include theater, choir, and band trips. I enjoy putting together groups as it is like putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle! However, after watching the details come together and everyone having a great time, there is no other feeling like it!
It is hard to pinpoint just one favorite destination. In Southeast Asia, Pattaya Thailad, Hong Kong, and Tokyo have to be my favorites. These three places offer a true taste of the orient and each are unique in their own way. In Europe, my two favorite destinations are Antwerp Belgium and Bregenz Austria. I love history and Belgium offers so much of it. Also, there is nothing like the beginning of muscle season in Belgium if you love muscles! I pick Bregenz as well as it is on Lake Constance and a beautiful village. The most beautiful sight I have ever seen is the Swiss Alps at sunrise. Hiking through these villages throws you back to a much simplier time! Also, Bregenz boasts a floating theater stage that plays host to a number of Broadway plays throughout the summer. There is nothing like watching West Side Story while the backdrop is Lake Constance and Germany!
I hope you can sense my passion of traveling by my bio. I grew up in a small town in West Texas and caught the travel bug early in my adult life.
